- Less than 24 hours until Top Gear Live box office opens
- Three high-octane shows in Glasgow expected to sell-out fast
Tickets for Top Gear Live at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow in January 2014 go on general sale at 9am tomorrow (Friday) morning. It’s the first time the globetrotting Top Gear Live road show has visited Scotland and three action-packed arena shows are confirmed for the weekend of 18-19 January.
Fans are clearly revved up for the eagerly awaited arrival of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – plus the driving legend ‘The Stig’ – as more than 12,000 have registered online for tickets. With such a high-level of interest, the shows are expected to sell out swiftly.
“People of Scotland, we have good news,” proclaimed Clarkson. “Our ambitious arena show which is known all over the world is coming north of the border for the very first time. We will see you there… unless you’ve got anything better to do!”
While the brand new SSE Hydro venue boasts a maximum seating capacity of 12,000, to set aside room for all the cars, stunts and dramatic challenges the auditorium will be reconfigured to provide 8,000 seats for each of the three special 90-minute Top Gear Live performances – two on Saturday 18 January at 3.30pm and 7.30pm plus one on Sunday 19 January at 2.00pm.
Adult ‘Bronze’, ‘Silver’ and ‘Gold’ tickets are priced at £49*, £69* and £89* with special packages for families. A very limited number of ‘Platinum’ tickets are also on offer at £99*. Full details can be found on the www.topgearlive.co.uk website or via the box office on 0844 395 4000.
