Meynell Plant Hire Ltd. has taken delivery of three new 8×4 Renault Premium Landers with centre mounted hiab cranes, along with six Renault Kerax 370.32s, which all have Weightlifter steel bodies. In an important conquest deal for Renault Trucks and Renault Trucks distributor, RH Commercial Vehicles (Leicester), they are the first Renault Trucks to join the company’s 50-strong mixed fleet of Iveco, Mercedes, DAF and Volvo. The company also has a Renault Midlum with demount box body on order.
The new Renault trucks will join Meynell Plant Hire’s fleet which supplies hire trucks to its parent company, Leicester based housebuilder, Jelson Holdings Ltd. The Renault Kerax tippers will work on site, undertaking muck shifting and stone delivery, whilst the Renault Premium Landers will operate from Jelson Holdings’ breeze block manufacturing subsidiary, Interfuse Ltd., delivering to construction sites across the country. The Renault Midlum will transport items, such as new kitchens, to the new build developments.
Troy Harrison, Operations Manager, Meynell Plant Hire, says: “The Renault Premium Lander is versatile enough for delivery to our building sites, with the comfort of a high spec cab and automatic gearbox for motorway driving. One of the best advantages of the Lander is its fuel economy.The first Renault Premium Lander has been on the road for a couple of months now and already we are seeing an excellent fuel return of 8.3 miles per gallon – more than any other truck on our fleet which average at approximately 7 miles per gallon. The Kerax is a great looking vehicle and its ground clearance is second to none. The Kerax offers good bhp and a build quality for construction that is simply made for the job.”
Meynell Plant Hire is already a franchise for Renault cars and vans but this is the first time the company has taken Renault trucks.Troy Harrison explains: “We had never really considered Renault Trucks before but looking at the quality of the trucks you get for your money, we felt that it was a great value and, with the local support of the new RH Commercial Vehicles depot on our doorstep in Leicester, we thought we would give it a go. This decision has already proved a very positive move, both for quality and for fuel efficiency.”

i would really like to work for meynall and ive tryed to get a job with them for 7 years and its really hard i am very hard working and reilable also i have no points on my lincece so if you would like to give a chance then plece get touch

Hi
I just wanted to ask if there’s a way to buy a few refurbished mini diggers really cheap. This digger hire blog states that you can get some really cheap ones from eastern Europe and they will be as good as Hewden or JCB.
You probably know more about these things than I do – so please share you thought’s on that?
