Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC (TFSUK) announces the appointment of Doug Gillies as Managing Director with effect from 1st November, replacing David Betteley who retired in October.

Following an early career in banking, and various positions in corporate and motor finance with Lloyds Bowmaker, Doug worked in the Lloyds Bowmaker/Toyota Finance joint venture before joining the newly formed Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC in 1998.

Doug played a key role in establishing the in house business and setting up the new back office and support services. Since then, as Operations Director of TFSUK, Doug has overseen the successful development and growth of the business to support Toyota and Lexus sales in the UK.

In announcing the appointment, Ichiro Kiyoshima, CEO and President TFS Europe and Africa Region said, “Under the leadership of Doug, I am confident TFSUK will continue to grow and will overcome the current difficult trading conditions facing our industry.”
