Jon, (35), joins BRS from the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he spent four and half years in the role of Regional Corporate Director. He replaces Mark Barton as Sales Director, who left BRS earlier this year.

In his new role at BRS, Jon will be managing a team of seven people, encompassing both national account and retail sales professionals.

In his previous role at RBS, Jon was responsible for the management of the corporate sales team, focussing on automotive fleet business. This centred on the development of car fleet management, purchase and disposal programmes for the bank’s corporate clients.

Previous to RBS, Jon was National Sales Manager for three and a half years for the AA, managing their major fleet team. Prior to that he was employed in a sales role at Lombard.

Jon studied business and finance at the Bristol Business School, part of the University of the West of England.

“I am looking forward to the challenge of my new role,” says Jon. “BRS has gone through a number of structural changes in recent months, not least the move of its headquarters from Warwick to Dunstable. It’s now a leaner business with a new shape and structure, which makes it a particularly exciting time to come on board.

One of the key objectives in my new role is to develop the contract hire side of the business, which is an area where I believe that my skills and knowledge can have a significant impact. I will be working very hard with the sales team to grow this area of the business, as well as developing the other products offered by BRS.”

BRS Ltd is a UK transport solutions company that has been in business for over 50 years and specialises in the provision of commercial vehicles. Its business encompasses truck rental, contract hire, fleet services (including compliance and duty of care offerings) and the management of logistical services for major operators.
BRS Ltd is part of the Volvo Group and, in 2006, was moved within Renault Trucks Europe’s operational responsibility, as part of the Group’s UK development strategy.
In October 2009, BRS moved from its previous headquarters in the Volvo Group building at Warwick to the brand new Renault Trucks UK premises at Dunstable, Bedfordshire.
