Vauxhall Motors commemorated the company’s war dead at a Remembrance Day service on Sunday 8 November.
At 8.15am, Brian Griffin and Mike Shaw, Vauxhall’s Workplace Chaplains, conducted a short service at the Kimpton Road Vauxhall Memorial, Luton and Alan Norman, Vauxhall’s Business Planning Manager, played the Last Post. The company laid wreaths to mark the many Vauxhall and Bedford employees who lost their lives in the two World Wars. The service also honoured servicemen and women who have died in recent conflicts.
After the ceremony, a hot breakfast was served after which the group marched to Luton town centre to lay wreaths at the memorial outside the Town Hall.
