‘The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) has made its offering to industry more relevant than ever, and once businesses see this they will realize that they genuinely cannot afford not to be an RMI member,’ said RMI Chairman Paul Williams tonight (Thursday 15 October 2009).
Williams was speaking at the RMI’s Annual Dinner, held at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London.
Commenting on the RMI’s training arm Remit, Williams said ‘Last year I was able to announce the repurchase of Remit, our training subsidiary. Since that date it has exceeded all expectations and goes from strength to strength expanding into many new associated fields, including Remit Recruitment and Remit Resourcing. Remit is now undoubtedly the leading automotive training provider in the automotive sector.’
During 2009 the RMI also acquired the MVRA, which represents over 1,000 body repair and garage services businesses in the UK. ‘Bringing the MVRA under the RMI umbrella provides MVRA members with access to the RMI’s powerful lobby and additional expert services and provides RMI members with unrivalled benefits and services within the bodyshop arena,’ said Williams.
Williams added: ‘I would like to thank our sponsors for helping to make this evening happen. I would like to say a very big thank you to our main sponsor Bluefin along with Remit, Devitt Insurance, Aston Barclay, Experian, Steele-Dixon, Motor Industry Legal Services (MILS) and Yell Group.’
