13-19 July is National BEN Week with a week of fundraising and celebrations of BEN, the UK’s only charity for the automotive and related industries.
This year BEN is setting the challenge of raising £104 to mark its 104th birthday and the theme is Hit the Beach for BEN. Whether you want to come to work in your Bermuda shorts or sombrero, enjoy fish and chips or hold a beach volley ball tournament, get involved and raise money for your industry’s charity.
Charles Davis, BEN’s Director of Fundraising and Communications said,
“BEN Week is a great chance to let your hair down and have fun while raising money to allow BEN to help our colleagues in the industry who desperately need our help. So hit the beach in style- we can’t wait to hear about the fantastic things you got up to over BEN Week 2009!”
- BEN is the Automotive Industry Charity, the only occupational charity for those who work or have worked in the automotive and related industries. Founded in 1905, the Charity provides practical help, support, advice and friendship to more than 15,000 men and women and their families every year. In addition BEN provides a home to over 350 individuals who reside in one of its four residential centres in the UK and offers day care facilities at its centre in Coventry.
